Getting into an Outback and driving it away is a bland experience, nothing special.
However, if you live with an Outback for a while you will appreciate it more and more. It all works.
The all-wheel drive is briliant on any surface, including gravel, hail stones like snow you could barely stand on, mud and grass. The car cruises through it all and stays safe.
The Eye-Sight works without any difficult input. I have no trouble with the audio or the sat-nav. The latter works from Whereis.com.au, which is the best system. It has plenty of room for those trips.
When you look at all the features, you get a lot of car for your money. If you really are an expert driver, go for the BMW. If you aren't, go for the best car on the road at a reasonable price.
