2012 Subaru Impreza 2.0i-L (AWD) Review
I have had this car for 2 years now, I purchased the GPS & Sunroof model brand new, I am satisfied with the handling and economy of the car but I have highlighted a major problem to Subaru on 5 occasions about the oil light coming on about 5000 km before the next service is due, they have done several Oil consumption tests and can not find a solution for it.
- performance/fuel economy, technology, all wheel drive
- MAJOR problem with oil consumption
They are simply following their 'guidelines' and will not fix this properly. Subaru head office expect me to take it in there on 6 times before doing anything, they really couldn't care less, upon further research there is a large number of complaints from US Consumers online complaining about the same problem about the oil consumption in 2012 Subaru Impreza's Most people are advising you to sell the car ASAP and not buy Subaru ever again!!! apparently it has been fixed in 2014 models.
I am disgusted by Subaru's attitude on this, they clearly are aware of this problem and don't want to admit any liability on their part, they won't fix the problem and instead all I get is stuffed around and getting my oil topped up because they are too incompetent to design the car properly. As a result I get into work late because I've had to top my oil up for the 5th friggin time!!!! and it is still NOT FIXED, SUBARU COULDN'T CARE LESS My last 2 cars were BMW,Toyota and Holden and did not have these issues, PLEASE EXPLAIN SUBARU AUSTRALIA
