2010 Toyota Landcruiser Vx Review
I purchased brand new in 2010 and have been very happy with this vehicle, no major issues, have found it very reliable, only issue was the gear knob began to peel, Toyota would not honor this under warranty which was disappointing.
- Very Comfortable , Very Reliable, Torque
- Third row seats don't fold into the floor
I did fit a bull bar, suspension from ARB and added diesel chip and stainless steel exhaust and it the latter made a huge difference to the economy. On long cruises it will sit on 8L/100km. I like the 6 speed transmission it is very smooth to change gears but prob would prefer a manual had it been available. Air con is great, seats are comfy too. Rear view camera is needed thankfully it has one.
Boot is actually fairly small due to the third row seats not folding into the floor, guessing this is something they will fix with the upcoming model.
Servicing has been easy through local mechanic.
Tows a big horse float very well as you would expect for such a large engine. Sits on the road very well. A friend has the petrol version and it is equally as good just a whole lot quieter inside due to the petrol engine.
Have taken it off road numerous times and loved it, but sometimes hard to get all that power to the wheels due to the electronic aids even when switched off, particularly when is sand or soft mud.
Overall very happy with the car, would highly recommend the 200 Series to anyone looking for a serious tow vehicle or off roader.
