Mitsubishi to build the Sportback Concept

When we first saw this car a few years ago, we all hoped Mitsubishi would put the concept into production, and as of today Mitsubishi have confirmed the Sportback concept will join its lineup from 2008. For those who have never seen the sportback concept before, yes it does look remarkably similar to the new Mitsubishi Lancer and the Evo X...

2007 Mitsubishi Pajero 3 Door

We are going to try a little harder to cover some more, "manly" cars for our expanding reader base. Whilst we do talk about some "manly" cars sometimes - Anthony had a week in the Range Rover Sport Supercharged - we tend to give a little more coverage to the everyday cars (and supercars for that matter)...

Mitsubishi Galant Fortis

This is the new Lancer. Although its now called the Mitsubishi Galant Fortis. Odd name indeed. From what we can gather, Fortis is Latin for strong, steadfast, courageous. Right. Mitsubishi needs this car for an all new assault on the medium car market, with the Lancer Evolution X kicking up a huge storm with its aggressive and powerful design - the boys over at Subaru must be a little scared given the abomination they now call the MY08 Impreza WRX...

Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X

Mitsubishi Motors has released details for the Japanese Domestic Market (JDM) regarding the up coming Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X. Firstly, Mitsubishi has not changed the name, and it will still be called the Lancer Evolution X. However the Lancer (and possibly the GSR version which will go head to head with the Subaru Impreza WRX) will be named the Galant Fortis (at least in the Japanese Market)...

Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X Spyshots

Now that the majority of Subaru's strong legion of fans will be moving over to buy a Mitsubishi GSR/Evo (given the Korean inspired new Subaru Impreza being such a let down and the beautiful Evo X ready to comfort Subaru fans), Mitsubishi have a little bit of pressure to deal with. Not to worry though, A car which looks this good, can't be a let down...

2007 Mitsubishi 380 Series III

As mentioned previously, the struggling Mitsubishi 380 is set to undergo some minor cosmetic surgery, with the new and improved 380 (named Series III) set to hit the showrooms in July. Currently the 380 goes to around 1,000 new owners per month, not a bad figure, but no where near Mitsubishi's expectations...

The Triton 2.4-litre two-wheel drive generates 94kW of power @ 5250 rpm and 194 Nm of torque @ 4000 rpm, the 2.4-litre engine offers economical fuel consumption figures of 10.9 litres per 100 km and meets Euro Step 3 emissions standards...

Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X Coming This Year?

Mitsubishi has guarded all the info regarding the Australian release date of Lancer Evolution X relatively well. Initially Mitsubishi representatives told us that the Evo X would not be here till at least middle of 2008, but new reports suggest that the rally car might even make it here before years end! This car is set to lift Mitsubishi's image in Australia with the introduction of a WRX matching mid range Lancer, named the Lancer GSR also set to come to Australia...

Mitsubishi Evo X at Geneva

Mitsubishi has put their proud Evo X concept on display at the Geneva motorshow (its a shame it didn't come to Melbourne!). Initially on display at the Detroit Motor Show in January 2007, Prototype-X is a design study for the new Lancer Evolution X due to be launched this year. The Prototype-X is based on the all-new Lancer sports sedan due to be launched in America in March...

2007 Mitsubishi 380 Face Lift

Mitsubishi has confirmed that its struggling 380 will receive a much needed face lift before June this year. The minor facelift will include some external changes (rumored to be the headlights) whilst it will get a revised interior. Furthermore, Mitsubishi are not too happy about the number of different model variants that are current on offer...
