I don't own this car, as it was a rental, but I did drive it for over 10 hours and did 800kms in the thing. This is about as long as I have travelled in any car I haven't personally owned, yet I won't make any comments on reliability. However, I can say that I think if you need something practical and have about $15-$17k in your pocket, one of these would be great...
The Kia Cerato is one of the best cars going around these days for value for money. Being my first new car purchase, I was very careful in determining which car would suit my purposes and give me the best bang for my buck. I was set on a small-sized car in a sedan, as I detest hatches and their horribly small back windows...
I bought my used 2014 Kia Cerato Koup Turbo auto about three months ago. It's my first car and I have enjoyed owning it very much so far. While doing research and coming up with a shortlist, I had rivals such as the Mazda SP25, Polo GTI and Veloster Turbo in mind...
We now own two Kia’s, this and a 2015 Sportage SLi. This after a life time of driving, I started in 1966 and my better half in 1989. We’ve had Mercs, Jags, Mits, Toyotas, Peugeot. And one VW the first and last of that species. The first car better my better half had was a 1991 Hyundai Excel. Korean cars have come a very long way since then...
I've bought my Koup Turbo Touring a little over a month ago and am just about to get the 3,000km service done. What I think so far? To be honest, I love it. I've had an eye on this car since it hit the showrooms back in 2013. Its mix of understated sportyness and style caught my eye and to be honest was a major factor in my decision to buy one...
2 years in and I'm not regretting my purchase although there are annoyances that have popped up but often they're balanced out by things that just work. A while back now I wrote a review just after I bought the car. You can search the archives for that. Having reread it myself I can say that much of it still holds true...
My Kia Cerato S Premium is incredible value for money over local and European imported competitors. Handling may not compare to the class leading brands but its a safe and reliable car with good looks which are better that most of the Japanese equivalent models. I only drive European cars but was forced to use this model as a company city commuter...
I have the Sedan version of the SLi which is a few centimeters longer than the hatch, and cuts a much better looking profile. SIZE I found for those not wanting or needing a full size sedan, the Cerato is Perfect. It is bigger on the inside that it appears. Big enough for our needs of city and country driving which we each day and for fitting a 'Walker' in the boot on weekends...
I've had my Koup turbo auto for 10 months now. I drive it quite hard and it seems to like it. The engine has diesel like low rev torque so it doesn't need a lot of encouragement to get going. I drove the great ocean road and otto ways as fast as I dared and found it to have great balance - not under or over steering under brakes or throttle...
Have owned my Cerato for 2 months now, and it's been nothing short of a joy thus far. Bought this car when I downsized from an overly thirsty 4WD so my girlfriend and I could save more, and with the excellent economy from this little beast, saving is what we're doing! The main selling point for me was the warranty, now a highly respectable 7 years, unlimited kilometres...
6 months and 15,000 km in (S premium) and love this car! Very comfortable, great features, 7 years peace of mind. They wouldn't give 7 year warranty if they thought it wouldn't last the distance. Best combination of features for the money. Lots of little "surprise and delight" features you only find after a while...
