Well, I suppose I should stop whingeing. Going back many years, this car would have been space age, but as of today it's getting a little primitive. It still needs to be updated on a lot of features. Accessibility and seat padding seem to be falling behind compared to the old cars, but the safety features are pretty good...
This is my second review of our little iX35 Active. Well great news! We just had the 60,000 service (last one that is capped) still did not need brake rotors or pads - very happy. 95% of our driving is 100kph highway which are very easy on components and no traffic lights here. Just put new Yokohama's on after 60k' on the original Kumo's, which were only swapped front to back once...
Styling: The small SUV market was really starting to hit its stride when the Hyundai ix35 arrived in 2010. It introduced Hyundai's new dynamic fluidic design to Australia, a design that stood it apart from many of its rivals and made its predecessor - the original Tuscon - look instantly ancient...
The ix35 is outstanding value for money. Above average fuel efficiency. Smooth ride even in areas of rough road and dirt road. Comfortable for both short and long distance travel. Features are all very good. The 12 volt outlets are excellent in number and position. The drink holders are well positioned...
I have had my ix35 for almost 2 months now and could not be any happier with my purchase this at has everything you could want or need and so much space especially for the kids...
Purchased this SUV as I required a higher set vehicle to make entry and leaving easier for my elderly father. It took a while to get used to a vehicle that was the largest I have owned. Returned it to the dealer to correct steering issues and now seems fine. Thirstier than my previous hatchback as you would anticipate as it is 200 kilos heavier...
There is no dropdown option on your list to select the type of iX35 I have. It's a brand new, off the floor, 2013, 2.0 iX35 GLS Executive A/T. It has been for wheel alignment 4 times already and it's still not right. Hyundai have now told me to get it fixed myself and bill them. Huh? The fuel consumption computer does it's own thing and this car is extremely heavy on fuel...
Sorry people we love our new ix35 2.0 man it has 1600 tow cap same as ford fal or commodore we towed our camper trailer over 5,000 ks and tows my 4.5 mtr quintrex locally [one ton] I would not put any more behind it but the boat is safe at100 kph for 26 grand including tow bar nudge bar6 year warranty 3 year road assist 12 months rego and 320 ks on atrip trickle fill before the guage came of full why wouldn't we be very happy 15000 ks now approaching brake issues we will see what happens...
At 90,000km, new rotors and pads all round, still shudders under brake, towed twice with elect faults, new fuel pump, new fuel wiring harness, new brake wiring harness, hesitates and comes to a stand when moving off from lights / intersection from day 1 of ownership, oil leak in transmission, if you dont drive square on to the driveway and you get out to open the gate, the door wont close, told last service if you wanted no faults you should have bought the next model up, 3rd battery...
I own a 2012 model, after waiting 4 months for delivery because of my colour choice. The two things I find annoying are the front pillars are to wide, I find myself trying to duck and weave to look around it at intersections. Also the radio doesn't tune in properly (it's very staticy), but it will be going back to the dealer to rectify this problem...
