This is my wife's Hyundai I45 and I'm not allowed to drive it too often unless it's to put petrol in or she's too tired on a country trip. We brought it as a demo unit with about 5000K's so the price was right otherwise I would not have bought it (maybe the spectacular styling might have won me over). It's been very reliable and the service costs are OK and if you bleat about being a pensioner they usually see sense at the dealers. Fuel economy is great on a trip often dropping into the 7's but lately around town SWMBO is managing to get on the wrong side of 13. The car has now done 73,000K's and need's 1/2 a litre of oil every few months. 2 of the tyres are original as are the brakes. We have had a few issues with parts of the glass roof trim lifting and the gear shift paddles stopped working (not that we ever used them). The auto transmission is excellent and changes smoothly and on cue. The car is very comfortable on a trip and when allowed to I enjoy driving it on the open road. I don't like driving it around town as I always get the feeling the front end is loosely connected to the steering with a lump of soft rubber. Ride can be a bit harsh at times probably due to the low profile tyres. Would I replace it with the new Sonata (read I45)? Yes, with the mid spec model and only if the new car feels a lot better to drive around town and I can get a good deal.

I first drove the Hyundia i45 when i was a ferry driver for Avis car hire people. i had to deliverthe i45 back to the main deport and I had the shock of my life. It was a beautiful car all round. You felt a part of the car and thats a rare experience these days. I was looking to change my car. I had my Mittsibishi Magna for 18 years and it was a good car but now i have driven the Hyundai I45 i was in love with a beautiful car again. So i decided to go on line and see what i could find. At Sutton Arncliffe car dealership site they had a few demonstrators for sale and there was a red I45. i could not believe my eyes, it looked so nice. So off I went to have look at it. Well that was it!! I fell in love with it. We sold the house and bought a new car. i am the happiest car owner with my purchase. Fate has a funny way of doing things, if it meant be, it will all work out. I forgot to mention, my wife loves the car as well. If sdhe's happy my life is happier. So of we went to Queensland in our new car happy as two peas in a pod. Well i had a few cars in my of life of 80 years but this is staying with me to the end. Never had a bit of trouble with any thing it is brilliant on petrol as well doing long run 6ltr to the 100 klm and 9 round town servicing is good as well they look after you couple of simple thing were done and i was not aware of any thing. so i feel save in my car and happy in my Hundia i45. i would not want to change anything it is perfect the way it is . I love confort and the style of the I 45 and it has that and more .

I purchased my i45 just over a year ago, it won out over ford Focus, Mazda 3, Toyota corolla just to name a few. I chose it as it was great value for money, a great looking car that had everything in it that I want and then more. It's very comfoortable as I do a lot of long distance driving, fuel economy is amajor factor that I considered, I read many articles about the i45, liked what I read. I have covered almost 20,000 km in the year with no problems. I have also told others how pleased I am with my Hyundia and that I will be purchasing another when the time comes.
