The 'unique specification' will include carbon-fibre reinforced plastic parts and racier 19-inch alloy wheels, designed to make the Project C 'notably lighter' than the (slightly porky) standard car – which tips the scales at 1429kg...

2020 Hyundai i30 plug-in spied

Photographers have snapped images of the facelifted Hyundai i30 in Europe, and it appears updated hatchback range could be headlined by the availability of plug-in hybrid power. Hyundai Australia has recalled the 2018 i30 over concerns about its electric sunroof motor. According to the company, some batches of sunroof motors have had the incorrect software installed and mightn't have automatic safety stop. If someone puts their hand or arm in the path of the sunroof, the motor will keep closing the glass, putting people at risk of injury...

Hyundai Australia has confirmed pricing and specifications for the new i30 Fastback N, which kicks off $1500 dearer than its hatchbacked sibling. Priced from $41,990 before on-road costs, the i30 Fastback N differs from the hatchback in obvious ways like the sedan-like liftback body, along with a new chassis and suspension tune that is a little softer – this setup will be carried over to the hatchback at some point in the future, too...
