This vehicle is an SV variant. Having owned a VY II SE and a VZ Clubsport, this vehicle caught my eye and, well, it got the mind and heart racing. The only things I dislike, and still do until I carbon-fibre wrap them, are the in-built exhaust tips. Aside from that, the car is comfortable, rides superbly and is powered nicely...
A quick note before I jump into the review. In case you haven’t read any other of my Owner Car Reviews, I’m a 14-year-old from Sydney, and I have a passion for cars. As I’m sure you know, the Holden factory in Elizabeth closed in October of last year. It was a very sad moment, especially for my dad...
So, I have just sold not only my first ever HSV, but also the first ever Holden I have ever owned. I have never written a review about a vehicle before, but for some reason I feel compelled to do so about my experiences with the HSV GTS. My car before the GTS was a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT, and it was fantastic...
This year we purchased a 2015 Clubsport LSA for our small family and found it to be perfect for us. Comfortable and spacious enough for the kids and an absolute hoot to drive for dad. Easy steering with the selectable modes on the electrically-assisted steering at the shops, head turning looks and jealous stares all around...
This is absolutely the best motor car I have ever owned! Looks, comfort, power and handling. It looks great on the road, has outstanding pickup and efficient brakes. Handling totally predictable. On country trips, specifically Sydney to Barellan and return, I have a best average fuel consumption of 7.7 litres per 100 kms. I LOVE this car, I purchased it on 10/10/13...
After owning a previous VE SV6 and a VF CALIAIS V V8 I have now just picked up my new HSV CLUBSPORT R8 SV so I've joined the cashed up bogans club. Not every really been a rev head but have always loved the look and sound but just felt I would like a small piece of history...
Speed, Reliability and a bit of poke at the rear wheels is just the start of the long list that you will find in the 2010 HSV R8 Tourer. With the option for Alcantera genuine Italian leather seating, which only compliments the excellent suspension and steering, the HSV is everything you want in a car. The key word there being 'want', which brings me to pointing out some disappointing features...
A quick history lesson, Ford is claimed to be the first company to produce an Australian "Ute". This was the result of a 1932 letter from the unnamed wife of a farmer in Victoria, Australia asking for “a vehicle to go to church in on a Sunday and which can carry her pigs to market on Mondays”...
It looks great the engine is mind blowing . The auto suits the engine like a glove . this is my third senator & its the best ,interior is luxury . it would be nice to have the choice of the supercharged engine . I bought it because it will be the last of its type also hsv have got all the packaged right .there has been some recalls but for minor things...
When i was first looking at buying a 2011 GTS, my main thought that was in mind was the sheer power. With a 6.2L supercharged V8, 325kW came so very easily. The GTS is a manual and with my type of driving (daily commuter) is a little thirsty. The sound is absolutely unique. Pulling away from the Happy Valley lights at 5am with no other vehicle in sight is a sound to behold...
My experience with HSV is a 0 out of 10 I am afraid extremely difficult company to deal with and resolve any real issues. The rear compartment of my Maloo has leaked like a river. HSV didn't want to know about and referred me to some very small print in their glossy catalogue. I can't even go out bush and throw my swag in the back...
