Rolls-Royce design chief leaves after just six months

Jozef Kaban, head of design for the Rolls-Royce brand, has left the company with immediate effect. Kaban joined the BMW Group in early 2017 to head up design for the core BMW brand, and moved over to become chief designer for Rolls-Royce in March this year. He replaced Giles Taylor, who quit the automaker in June 2018 to head up the design team responsible for the Chinese luxury marque Hongqi.

2020 Rolls-Royce Ghost spied inside and out

The next-generation Rolls-Royce Ghost has been photographed again by our spy agency, but this time around they managed to snag pictures of the car's interior. From what we can see, the overall design doesn't stray far from the stately design theme laid out by the Phantom and Cullinan with leather, wood, shiny metal and large round vents in abundance. The dashboard includes a widescreen display, possibly a touchscreen unit running a reskinned version of BMW's infotainment software.

2020 Rolls-Royce Ghost spied

The next-generation Rolls-Royce Ghost has been photographed on the back of a flat-bed truck, wedged between a pair of BMW X5 crossovers. Compared to today's car, the new Ghost looks to have a more heavily raked boot lid for a slightly sportier look, although there's still no danger of it being branded as a "four-door coupe".

BMW patents bottom-filling champagne glasses

Imagine this: you're being transported at 189km/h down an autobahn on your way to an important meeting. You've just finished haranguing your personal assistant about his use of Comic Sans on an important document. You're a little stressed out, and need to relax. So, you begin pouring a small pre-meeting drink into your car's bespoke, hand-engraved champagne flute, and then your driver hits the brakes because some lowly Civic Type R thinks he belongs in the left lane.
