A new Honda model expected to debut as the 2022 Honda Civic has been revealed in recent patent filing uncovered on the CivicXI forum – five years after the current model made its global debut.
According to American publisher Car & Driver, Honda has confirmed it will unveil the new Civic around the middle of next year – officially in the northern hemisphere's spring season.

Maserati has unveiled its first-ever hybrid vehicle – and promises it will still sound like a sports sedan, despite being powered by a four-cylinder engine.
The 2021 Maserati Ghibli Hybrid will retain its distinctive exhaust note, but come with the fuel economy of a diesel car.
Based on the V6-powered Ghibli sedan, the Ghibli Hybrid pairs a 2.0-litre four-cylinder, petrol engine with a 48-volt mild hybrid system which recoups energy when the car brakes or coasts.
Italian supercar maker Lamborghini has unveiled its new Sian Roadster hybrid supercar, with every example already spoken for.
Ticket price for the Roadster has not been disclosed by the Italian marque, however the Sian coupe the Roadster is based on was priced at more than AU$5 million during the limited production run of 63 cars.
Far more exclusive, the Roadster will be built in a limited production run of just 19 cars – and Lamborghini says every Sian Roadster has already been sold.

Range Rover is celebrating the model’s golden jubilee milestone with the release of a limited-edition new model: the Range Rover Fifty Edition.
The iconic British four-wheel drive has been on and off the roads now for a half century, with the first model released on 17 June 1970. Back then it was available in a two-door body only, but launched with a permanent dual-range four-wheel drive system, four-wheel disc brakes and even a 3500kg tow rating.
The 2021 Ford Mustang Mach 1 has been unveiled in the US, showcasing a track-focused, limited-edition pony car that cherry-picks from its stablemates.
Reading more like a Greatest Hits album, the Mach 1 offers identical performance to the Bullitt, with a 5.0-litre V8 producing 357kW, but using the air intake and 6-speed transmission from the Shelby GT350, and the gear knob from the Bullitt.
Many components have also come from the Shelby GT500.
