Pagani Huayra BC Roadster unveiled

Pagani has overnight unveiled the Huayra BC Roadster, just over three years after the hardtop Huayra picked up the mantle from Pagani's first car, the Zonda. Like the coupe, the Pagani Huayra BC Roadster features a unique body developed with both eyes on increasing downforce, creating a claimed 500kg at 280km/h. The Huayra BC Roadster has a dry weight of 1250 kilograms, making it 30kg lighter than the regular Roadster, but 32kg heavier than the BC coupe.

Pagani preparing for electric future - report

Pagani is getting ready to end production of the Huayra, raising a fairly big question: what's next for the Italian-Argentinian hypercar maker? According to a report by Road & Track, the brand's future could be electric. Although the story makes clear there are no plans to end internal-combustion development, it's clear Horacio Pagani, company founder, is looking to electric motors for potential future models. "There is electric-car research already ongoing," Pagani told Road & Track.

Pagani Huayra arrives Down Under

Pagani has touched down in Melbourne, with the Huayra Roadster becoming the first road-registrable hypercar in Australia. Priced from a whopping $5.5 million before on-road costs, the news that "just a few" of the 100 Huayra Roadster production slots would be reserved for local buyers was revealed at the opening of a new Pagani showroom on Swan Street in Richmond, Victoria. The brand will be imported by Zagame Automotive, which is now one of just 24 authorised Pagani dealers worldwide.
