World Car of the Year finalists announced

The countdown to the 2021 World Car of the Year (WCOTY) is on with organisers today revealing the top 10 finalists for the overall WCOTY gong as well as the top five finalists in segment categories. Judged by a panel of 93 international automotive journalists who select the finalists via a secret ballot, the WCOTY is based on independent testing and evaluation of eligible vehicles conducted throughout the year.

2021 Land Rover new cars

Years don't get much bigger or more important for Land Rover, which launched the all-new Defender across the globe in 2020. 2021 continues that theme of icon re-imagining, with the short-wheelbase Defender 90 joining the existing Defender 110 range. MY21 Defenders will also get a new range of drivelines, which includes a 3.0-litre six-cylinder diesel replacing the current 2.0-litre four-pot D200 and D240 variants.
