The Koenigsegg Gemera is a four-seater, family-friendly, hybrid megacar

Swedish high-performance carmaker Koenigsegg has revealed its latest fantastical creation in the Koenigsegg Gemera, a plug-in hybrid billed as an "entirely new category of megacar". The first so-called 'Mega-GT' in the world, the Gemera is also Koenigsegg's first four-seater, able to accommodate four adults comfortably with room to spare for their luggage.

Saab successor buys 20 per cent of Koenigsegg

NEVS (National Electric Vehicle Sweden) and Koenigsegg will also form a joint venture company "to expand into new market segments". NEVS will contribute €150 million ($238 million) in starting capital for the new firm and hold a 65 per cent stake. Koenigsegg will own the rest of the company by contributing its "intellectual property, technology licenses, and product design".

Koenigsegg preparing car capable of doing 0-400km/h in 14s

Koenigsegg, the Swedish hypercar maker, is developing a new car capable of going from 0-250mph (402km/h) in around 14 seconds. In a chat with Top Gear at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, Christian von Koenigsegg described the unveiling of the second-generation Roadster prototype in 2017 as a "kick in the head".

Koenigsegg and Qoros to reveal electric supercar concept in Shanghai

Swedish supercar firm Koenigsegg and Chinese-Israeli automaker Qoros are prepping a new 'Super EV' bound for the Shanghai motor show later this month. According to a report by CarNewsChina, the Qoros-branded EV will be feature a fastback body with four doors and four seats, and be capable of sprinting from 0-100km/h in around 3.0 seconds. The Qoros Super EV's range is claimed to be 500km, though there's no word on power figures or the vehicle's battery.
