Infiniti chief leaves to become head of Jeep

Christian Meunier has been appointed as the global president of Jeep effectively immediately. As head of one of Fiat Chrysler's (FCA) brands, he will have a seat at the company's group executive council. Despite being one of the key profit drivers for FCA, Jeep hasn't had a full-time chief since July 2018 when Mike Manley, its president, was appointed as FCA CEO upon Sergio Marchione's sudden illness and subsequent passing.

Infiniti Q50 Signature Edition headed to New York

Infiniti has released a single image of its new Q50 Signature Edition, due to be revealed in full at the 2019 New York motor show next week. Part of the brand's 30th anniversary celebrations, the limited-edition Q50 sedan will feature "added luxury treatments" and "standard driver assistance features designed to empower the driver".

Carlos Ghosn says his arrest was part of a 'conspiracy'

Overnight, Carlos Ghosn, the former CEO and chairman of Renault and Nissan, published a seven-and-a-half-minute video stating his innocence, and claiming he was arrested as part of a "conspiracy". The video was recorded prior to Ghosn's re-arrest last week, when he was out on bail. Although Ghosn claims he is "innocent of all the charges that have been brought against me", the former Nissan CEO didn't provide any evidence to substantiate his assertion.

Ghosn gone: Jailed executive resigns from Renault

Carlos Ghosn, the man who once headed up Renault, Nissan and Mitsubishi Motors, has decided to quit as the chairman and CEO of Renault. After a meeting of its board of directors, Renault has appointed Thierry Bolloré as the company's new permanent CEO.Bolloré was elevated from chief operating officer to interim CEO after Ghosn was arrested in Japan in November 2018.
