Hummer electric SUV appears just weeks after pick-up debut
…
General Motors' new fully-electric Hummer has shown up in SUV form.
While the Hummer pick-up was revealed last month, this is the first time the wagon body has made an appearance in public.
Compared with the pick-up's unveiling, the Hummer SUV variant was presented without any fanfare at all, merely turning up in the background of a conference call with company investors.

Side profile images of the upcoming reborn Hummer have been revealed by General Motors in the US overnight.
And before anyone is wondering why GM is reviving a brand that symbolised gas guzzlers and excess, it's worth noting these will be fully electric vehicles.
In a video posted to the GMC website, the silhouettes of a twin cab pick-up and an SUV wagon can be seen.
A clay sculpting of the car, and a body shell, are also shown at various points during the video.
Sadly, the simple silhouette outline doesn't tell us terribly much about the GM's first-ever electric pickup truck, which is rumoured to revive the Hummer brand.
Whatever it will be branded, the new full-size electric pickup will look more like traditional petrol- and diesel-powered utes, as well as the upcoming electric Rivian R1T, than the divisively angular and groundbreaking Tesla Cybertruck.
GM recalls 1.5M vehicles for fire risk, Australia not affected
…
General Motors is recalling around 1.5 million passenger cars, trucks and SUVs around the world to remove a windshield-wiper fluid heating system that can overheat and cause a fire.
Many of the affected vehicles were recalled in 2008 to fix a similar problem with the same component, but the latest reports of fires in some previously repaired vehicles has prompted GM to remove the system altogether.
It's official, China's Sichuan Tengzhong Heavy Industrial Machinery Company has signed a definitive agreement to purchase the Hummer brand from General Motors.
Hummer’s leadership team will remain in place and the company will be headquartered in Detroit.
