GWM could be about to announce plans to enter the full-size ute segment to compete with the likes of the Ford F-150, Ram 1500, and Chevrolet Silverado.
While details of the ute have yet to be announced, it's understood the model is on Australia's wish list, with local representatives expressing their desire to compete against the American pick-ups as far back as 2017.

UPDATE, 12 January 2021: The GWM Ute has had its towing capacity officially certified to 3000kg.
When initially launched in late 2020, GWM listed a 2250kg towing capacity for the Ute, but has now been certified the model for towing up to 3000kg, with a maximum downball weight of 300kg.
