Extreme E: Electric off-road series coming soon

Formula E will get an off-road counterpart, with the Extreme E championship revealing the car it'll use in its first season. Brainchild of Alejandro Agag, the man behind Formula E, the Extreme E car has been developed by Spark Racing Technologies to "face all the variations in surface and terrain that will be thrown its way, which will include gravel, rock, mud, ice, snow, water and sand".

Lexus confirms LC Convertible for production, local arm ‘very keen’

Lexus has confirmed it will produce the LC Convertible, debuting a camouflaged pre-production prototype at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Timing and specification of the LC Convertible is still yet to be announced, though we’d say the new model isn’t far off. “It will broaden the LC line-up and bring a sense of a completeness to the brand's flagship models,” the company said in its press release.

Aston Martin Vantage Heritage Racing Editions revealed - UPDATE

Aston Martin has revealed six Vantage Heritage Racing Editions for the Goodwood Festival of Speed this weekend, each finished in a livery honouring a race car from the company’s motorsport history. UPDATE, 8/9/19: Aston Martin’s local division has confirmed the Vantage Heritage Racing Edition will be available to customers in Australia and New Zealand. See bottom of article for details.

Polestar 2 to offer 560km range - report

The upcoming Polestar 2 electric vehicle will offer over 560 kilometres of range and start around $53,500 in the UK – according to a new report. Speaking with the UK's Autocar, Polestar's chief operating officer, Jonathan Goodman, confirmed the details at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, indicating the Swedish rival to the Tesla Model 3 will be no lightweight in terms of range and performance.
