2020 Land Rover Defender: Five-star safety rating expected
…
The all-new Land Rover Defender has been engineered and developed from the ground up to meet the latest European and worldwide safety regulations, and the company believes it has every chance to gain the maximum five-star safety rating when it undergoes testing in the near future.
Speaking to the media at the Frankfurt motor show, Land Rover’s head engineer, Nick Rogers, who had his legs crushed in a vehicle accident at a younger age, said compromising on safety is simply out of the question.
Hyundai Motor Europe has debuted the i10 N Line at the Frankfurt motor show this week, following the reveal of the regular micro hatch last week.
The new-generation i10 is the fourth model in Hyundai's European line-up to get the N Line treatment, following the larger i30, i30 Fastback and Tucson.
Hyundai N has revealed its latest creation – the 2020 i30 N Project C – a "lighter, lower, more aggressive version" of the company's first hot hatch.
Limited to just 600 units and exclusive to the European market, the Project C retains the N Performance variant's 202kW/353Nm 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine (378Nm on over boost), though gets a slew of aero, cosmetic and mechanical upgrades drawn from last year's i30 N Option concept to shed 50kg from the 'standard' car.
Hyundai has revealed the face that will carry into the age of electrification, showing off the 45 EV Concept in Frankfurt.
The new 45 EV is inspired by the Hyundai Pony Coupe Concept unveiled 1974, bearing a very similar fastback profile a slim, angry graphic at the front.
Much like Honda with its Urban EV concept, the 45 takes classic design cues like simple quad head/tail-lights and reimagines them with LEDs for a pared-back look.
