Ferrari SP3JC unveiled

The Ferrari SP3JC has been revealed, created as a bespoke commission for an unnamed customer who wanted a "pure, uncompromising roadster" using the the chassis and drivetrain of the F12 TdF. This means there's a 6.3-litre V12 up front cranking out 574kW of power and 705Nm of torque to the rear wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. Ferrari says the car's unique open-top body harks back to the company's V12 spiders from the 1950s and 1960s.

Sergio Marchionne, head of Fiat since 2004 and Chrysler from 2009, has passed away aged 66 after complications arising from surgery. Known for his straight-talking style, workaholic lifestyle, and love of black wooly sweaters, Marchionne was not a noted "car guy", but his legacy includes turning around not one, but two automakers. He is survived by his partner Manuela Battezzato, and his sons Alessio and Tyler.
