Private buyers are the driving force behind an unprecedented surge in electric car sales in Australia. Australia is the biggest market outside North America for the Tesla Cybertruck, according to crowd-sourced data provided to fan website CybertruckTalk. To gauge global interest in the Tesla Cybertruck, more than 1800 members of the Tesla online community took part in a poll to compare demand for the controversially-styled electric pick-up from country to country. It ranked the USA at the top of the list for pre-orders, accounting for 76 per cent of demand, ahead of Canada at 10 per cent.
