Stile Bertone declared bankrupt, up for sale

Famous Italian automotive design house Stile Bertone is officially bankrupt and up for sale. The bankruptcy declaration occurred quietly on June 4 after the company failed in its attempts to present a viable recovery plan for the future or find a suitable buyer. It appears to be a case of third-time unlucky for Bertone, which narrowly avoided bankruptcy in 2007 and 2011.

Bertone Nuccio concept design sketches released

Bertone will unveil the dramatic Nuccio concept at next month’s Geneva motor show as part of the Italian design house’s 100th anniversary celebrations. Bertone says the Nuccio concept will be based on an evolution of the car maker’s traditional mid-engined rear-wheel drive underpinnings. Among the low-profile concept’s more striking features are the single-bar headlights and taillights, plunging windscreen and A-pillars, twin rear windows and muscular haunches with massive wheels.

Bertone B99 Jaguar Concept unveiled at Geneva

Remember the Bertone B99 Concept we showed you last week in sketch form? Well, Bertone has unveiled the magnificent B99 Concept in full at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show. It's fair to say that the Bertone B99 was perhaps one of the star attractions in the concept car range at the show, as far as all-new designs go. The only 'problem' with it we thought was the ride height. It just looks like there is a little bit too much room in between the tyres and the wheel arches, for a show car anyway.
