2020 Toyota C-HR EV announced for China

Toyota has confirmed it will launch an electric C-HR in the Chinese market in 2020 at the Beijing motor show. As reported by Autocar, the Japanese manufacturer announced three new electrified models it will be bringing to China in the coming years, including plug-in hybrid (PHEV) versions of the Corolla and Levin sedans due next year, in addition to the all-electric C-HR.

Geely Concept Icon revealed in Beijing

Geely has unveiled the Concept Icon, its take on the Volvo XC40, at the 2018 Beijing motor show. According to its designers, the Concept Icon has been built around two key words: high tech and inspiring. It was penned at Geely's studio in Shanghai, and is unashamedly aimed at young buyers.

MG X-Motion concept unveiled

The MG X-Motion concept has been given a full debut at the 2018 Beijing motor show. Stylistically, the concept takes themes established by last year's E-Motion electric coupe and scales them to suit a crossover. Up front, the X-Motion features a fascia heavily inspired by Mazda, while the "stellar field" grille insert calls to mind a number of Mercedes-Benz models. There's also more than a hint of Infiniti in the profile and headlights.

2018 Skoda Kamiq revealed

The new Skoda Kamiq crossover has been officially revealed ahead of its debut at the Beijing motor show later this week, with the new model to go on sale in China in just a "couple of months" time. Joining the larger Karoq and Kodiaq in the Czech brand's Chinese line-up, the Kamiq is the littlest member of its SUV family, measuring 4390mm long, 1781mm wide and 1593mm tall – roughly the same size as a Nissan Qashqai.

BMW iX3 teased ahead of Beijing debut

BMW has provided a peek at the face of its upcoming all-electric Concept iX3 crossover, ahead of a full reveal at the Beijing motor show later this week. All we have to work with is a 15-second clip posted on Twitter, but we know the iX3 will feature a new interpretation of the classic BMW kidney grille inspired by the i Vision Dynamics concept – which previews the upcoming i4.
