DS 4S hatch debuts in China, global launch unlikely
…
The all-new DS 4S has made its official debut at this week’s Beijing motor show, bringing with it a number of new details about the new five-door hatch.
Making its first public appearance at last year’s Guangzhou motor show, the 4S is set to be sold exclusively in China, becoming the fourth DS-branded car to be designed and produced for the country.
The 4S joins a Chinese-market line-up that currently includes the DS 5, DS 5LS and DS6.
BMW has unveiled a stretched version of its X1 SUV at this week's Beijing motor show - but apart from the longer rear door and surrounds, you'd be hard pressed to spot the difference.
Developed specifically for China, the long wheelbase X1 (badged X1 Li), will be built at a joint-venture factory Tiexi plant in Shenyang by BMW’s Chinese partner, Brilliance.
UPDATE: Lexus Australia has confirmed a 2017 local launch for the revised IS range.
An updated version of the Lexus IS luxury sedan has been unveiled at the 2016 Beijing motor show.
The 2017 Lexus IS brings with it a revamped front-end design including newly reformed headlights that still sit proudly above those tick-shaped daytime running lights.
Below the (apparently) L-shaped DRLs are new, very large air intakes that certainly make the IS appear a little more sporty up front.

…
Next week’s Beijing motor show will play host to a new concept that will likely, although not officially, hint at the all-new 2018 Volkswagen Touareg.
Volkswagen has not offered any details on whether this concept will head to production, but, with the current Touareg due for replacement within the next 12 to 18 months, next week’s show car would seem a clear preview.
