The new-generation 2019 BMW Z4 looks set to be revealed later this year, just before a public debut at the Paris motor show in October – according to a new report.
Industry journal Automotive News Europe cites a "person familiar with the situation", claiming the next-gen German sports car will be revealed at a standalone event prior to the Paris event.
BMW's boss has used the Geneva motor show to confirm the all-electric i4 will become part of the company's portfolio by 2025.
Harald Krüger, chairman of the board of management for BMW AG, made the announcement at the Geneva event, adding the new offering will be one of many upcoming electrified models.
"By 2025, our global vehicle portfolio will include 25 fully- or part-electric models," he said.
The Rimac C_Two has been revealed in Geneva this week, boasting some massive performance claims.
With four electric motors – one for each wheel – the C_Two claims outputs of 1408kW and 2300Nm. For reference, the Bugatti Chiron generates 'just' 1103kW of power and 1600Nm of torque from its quad-turbo W16 engine.
