The "unprecedented" amounts of money being spent on autonomous and electric vehicle development have put the automotive industry on track for a "pile-up of epic proportions" in the coming years.
The CX-5 SUV could be the next member of the Mazda line-up to get the brand's 2.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine, if new documents out of the US are anything to go by.
Autoevolution published a document (below) made to the California Air Resources Board (CARB) – the state's regulatory body for emissions and air quality – which apparently indicates the CX-5 will offer the 2.5-litre turbo as part of a 2019 model-year update.
BMW Australia has recalled the 2005-2011 3 Series, over concerns about the interior fan blower wiring.
According to the company, the electrical wiring and fan resistor in the blower could deteriorate over time, creating a risk of melting or short-circuit and, subsequently, a fire.
