2018 Mercedes-Benz S-Class Cabriolet teased ahead of Frankfurt debut

The facelifted 2018 Mercedes-Benz S-Class Cabriolet has been teased in a new video ahead of its debut at the Frankfurt motor show next month. Following the updated S-Class limousine range, the convertible version is expected to get similar upgrades, though obviously with the sexier two-door body sans roof.

Audi accused of exporting thousands of vehicles with same VIN - report

German prosecutors have reportedly uncovered documents suggesting that Audi exported thousands of vehicles to Asian countries with the same VIN (vehicle identification number). A new article by Handelsblatt Global claims the papers say Audi models sent to China, Korea and Japan may have the same 17-digit identifier, which is meant to be unique to each unit.

Mercedes-Benz has issued a recall 3333 vehicles across its 2015 and 2015 GL, GLE and GLS SUVs over concerns the power steering system could fail. The German manufacturer reports that moisture may penetrate the electric power steering control unit, interfering with signal transmission. If the condition occurs, the power steering assistance could fail, which poses a hazard to the driver and could increase the risk of an accident.

2018 Mercedes-AMG GT4 drops camouflage

The upcoming Mercedes-AMG four-door coupe, still unnamed but commonly referred to as the GT4, has been spied again this week with a lot less camouflage - giving us a clearer look at the the company's new model. Compared to the most recent sighting in May, the production version of the AMG GT Concept sedan now sports the company's new 'Panamericana' front grille, and forgoes the previous prototype's fake rear spoiler, revealing more of its fastback-shaped rump.
