Cadillac ATS to be axed

The Cadillac ATS sedan looks set to be discontinued after this year, just six years after being introduced as a competitor to the BMW 3 Series and Mercedes-Benz C-Class. Speaking with industry journal Automotive News, Cadillac spokesperson, Donny Nordlicht, said: "Production of the ATS sedan is ending due to extensive plant upgrades, expansion and re-tooling to prepare for the next generation of Cadillac sedans".

Audi to sell 800,000 electrified cars in 2025

Audi has announced plans to sell 800,000 pure-electric and plug-in vehicles in 2025, as the brand doubles down on its commitment to electric mobility. Rupert Stadler, Audi AG board chairman, said the company wants to "revolutionise mobility" and become the top luxury manufacturer in the e-mobility space – not exactly unique goals, given both BMW and Mercedes-Benz are aggressively planning their own plug-in revolutions.

2019 Mercedes-Benz GLS spied with less camouflage

The next-generation Mercedes-Benz GLS has been spied, just a day after our spy photography agency nabbed pictures of the new GLE. Unlike the GLE we saw yesterday, which had plain black camouflage and many exposed body panels, this GLS is covered from head to toe in black and white swirls. Compared to earlier prototypes, though, this car features only a few false body panels, all of which are located on the front and rear bumpers, and serve to obscure the false air vents and diffusers.
