2019 BMW X2 M35i revealed

BMW has unveiled the range-topping X2 M35i, the first M Performance version of its small crossover series, scheduled to land in Australia in the first half of next year. There's a bit to talk about here, but we're starting with the engine. Where the M Performance versions of the 1er and 2er are powered by inline-six engines putting power to the rear wheels, the hot X2 makes use of a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo petrol making 225kW and 450Nm.

2018 Ford Everest recalled

Ford Australia has issued a recall for the 2018 Everest over concerns the seat cushion frame may not be to specification, which could pose a safety risk in the event of an accident. According to the Blue Oval, certain vehicles produced from 9 March 2018 through 13 March 2018 could have seat cushion frames that have improper welding.

2019 Ssangyong Musso pricing and specs

Ssangyong has revealed pricing and specs for the 2019 Musso, as it prepares for a November relaunch Down Under. Now a factory-backed operation, the South Korean brand will launch with four model lines when it touches down: Rexton, Musso, Tivoli and Tivoli XLV. The entire range will be covered by a seven-year, unlimited kilometre warranty.

Mini John Cooper Works GP spied

A development vehicle believed to be the Mini John Cooper Works GP has been spied this week in Europe, somewhat confirming that the wild concept revealed at Frankfurt last year will make it to production. While clearly not the final product – rather based on a 'standard' John Cooper Works 3 Door Hatch – this vehicle features a massive rear wing, and massive front brakes behind the aftermarket alloy wheels.
