Rolls-Royce auctioning one-off 2020 Phantom

Rolls-Royce will celebrate its 115th birthday with a one-off 2020 Phantom, set to be auctioned in New York by RM Sotheby's. Details about the car are hard to come by, but the teaser image you see here likely provides a hint. It'll be red, and the cabin will feature a "hand-crafted leather work of art". What that will look like remains to be seen.

Exclusive: Electric Toyota HiLux not coming, despite media speculation

Toyota Australia has formally dismissed reports by mainstream media there will be an electric HiLux ute. The debate about electric vehicles and their suitability in Australia was sparked by the federal opposition’s election promise to require 50% of all new cars sold by 2030 to run on electric power. Workhorse utes such as the Toyota HiLux, Ford Ranger and Mitsubishi Triton – Australia’s top three selling cars – were given as examples of the struggle to electrify all types of vehicles.
