2019 Volkswagen T-Cross teased in the flesh

Kitted out with a new colourful disguise for the front and rear end, the Volkswagen T-Cross has been teased and detailed ahead of its debut in the not-too-distant future. Measuring just 4107mm long and 1558mm tall long, the T-Cross is shorter from bumper to bumper, but taller than the T-Roc, which is 4178mm long and 1501mm tall.

BMW and Great Wall sign agreement to produce Mini EV in China

The BMW Group and Great Wall Motor have signed a joint venture agreement to produce electric vehicles for Mini in China, under the company name Spotlight Automotive Limited. Along with the upcoming electric Mini models, the joint venture will also produce EVs for Great Wall, with the facility to be located in the Chinese province of Jiangsu, north of Shanghai.

Kia Stinger GT: Michelin tyres to replace Continental in Australia

Kia has made the bold move of switching tyre allegiance for Stinger GT models in Australia, ditching Continental for Michelin. We first reported we were unimpressed with the longevity of the Continental ContiSport Contact 5 tyres fitted to the Stinger GT when we tested it against the Holden Commodore SS-V Redline last year. The tyres showed signs of excessive wear under hard driving, and we actually destroyed a (very young) set after shooting dynamic images.

Jaguar C-Pace name registered in Europe

Jaguar has filed a trademark application for the C-Pace name with the European Union Intellectual Property Office, suggesting another British SUV could be on the way. Quite where the new potential new model might fit into the Jaguar range isn't clear. The British marque currently fields two traditional crossover models: the F-Pace and the E-Pace.
