Mazda2 three-door hatch in Geneva
The stylish super mini just got even smaller, with Mazda set to debut a three-door hatch version of its acclaimed Mazda2 at the 78th annual Geneva International Motor Show.
This is the first time any Mazda2 will be offered with just two doors, giving it a sportier look and making it even more affordable.
It is aimed at attracting new customers in the key European markets, where it has received a five-star adult occupant protection on Euro-NCAP crash testing and more than 20 automotive awards.
These include Car of the Year awards in Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Denmark, Greece and New Zealand, along with the Japan RJC Car of the Year.
The three-door will come with the same MZR 1.3-litre and 1.5-litre gasoline, powertrains, and the same MZ-CD 1.4-litre common-rail diesel, as the five-door hatchback and weighs in at under 1000kg.
