Video: Citroen DS3 Racing review

The Citroen DS3 has been praised by many experts and motoring critics around the world since its debut late last year. Now the company has released a hotter, faster version called the Citroen DS3 Racing. So what's it like? Well, the guys from Autocar in the UK have just tested it and released a video review for us all to interpret.

Although here in Austalia we only get the Citroen DS3 DSport and DStyle, the DS3 Racing looks like it could be a great proposition and a worthy rival to the Mini Cooper S, Renault Clio RenaultSport and the Volkswagen Golf GTI. It's a shame only 2000 versions of the Racing will ever be made.

Major headlines on the car include: 1.6-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine outputting 154kW of power, lowered suspension, wider track and bigger wheels, and an enhanced braking package. The DS3 Racing also gets vast visual revisions in the form of orange detail highlights and a neat bodykit.

It's also interesting to note that, as the journalist explains, real carbon fibre is used throughout the car - unlike many 'sports' versions which include fake, lookalike carbon.

Check out the full video review below for more details and Autocar's verdict.
