2022 Skoda Kamiq price and specs: 110TSI Ambition and Signature grades added

Skoda's smallest SUV gains two new variants for Model Year 2022, with the uprated 110kW engine now standard across the range.

  • 110TSI Ambition variant added as new entry grade
  • Flagship 110TSI Signature replaces Limited Edition
  • Prices start from $32,990 drive-away, with prices up by $1000 on some models

The 2022 Skoda Kamiq range has seen a reshuffle for the new model year, with one shortage-affected variant making way for two new uprated models.

As promised, the range now opens with a new entry-level Kamiq 110TSI Ambition variant, replacing the 85TSI variant that Skoda says has sold out for the remainder of 2021.

The new base grade is priced from $32,990 drive-away with a manual, or $34,990 drive-away with a dual-clutch automatic transmission – versus $27,990 drive-away and $29,990 drive-away for manual and auto versions of the outgoing Kamiq 85TSI.

Above: The outgoing Skoda Kamiq 110TSI Limited Edition, roughly similar to the new 110TSI Signature (aside from black mirrors and diffuser). Top of story: 2021 Skoda Kamiq 110TSI Monte Carlo.

Standard equipment includes LED headlights and tail-lights (with scrolling indicators), a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, 18-inch 'Crater' alloy wheels, 8.0-inch infotainment touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, fabric trim, a three-spoke sports steering wheel, rear parking sensors, and a power tailgate.

It also offers keyless entry, dual-zone climate control and wireless charging, plus standard active safety features including autonomous emergency braking, lane-keep assist, driver fatigue detection and adaptive cruise control.

Meanwhile, sitting atop the range is a new 110TSI Signature variant – priced from $38,990 drive-away, or $1000 more than the old Limited Edition – which is a permanent member of the range intended to replace the outgoing 110TSI Limited Edition model introduced at the Kamiq's launch last year.

Over the mid-spec, sport-themed Monte Carlo (also $1000 more than before), the Signature gains 18-inch 'Crater' wheels (shared with the Ambition, versus the Monte Carlo's Vega Black alloys), leather/suede upholstery, a power driver's seat with lumbar support, a larger 9.2-inch infotainment touchscreen with satellite navigation, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Above and below: Skoda Kamiq 85TSI.

It also gains silver roof rails (rather than black), heated front and rear seats, front and rear parking sensors, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and automated parking.

Powering the entire range is a 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine, sending 110kW and 250Nm to the front wheels through a six-speed manual in the base Ambition only, or a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic as an option in the Ambition, or standard in the Monte Carlo and Signature.

The sole option pack across the Kamiq range is the $4300 Travel Pack, available on the Monte Carlo – a full breakdown of optional and standard equipment can be found at the bottom of this story. A panoramic roof can be had on the base car for $1300 (as it's standard on other models), while a tow bar costs $2000 across the range.

Three- and five-year service packs are available, priced from $800 and $1400 respectively, along with pay-as-you-go service 'subscriptions'. Up to seven colours are available, with metallic hues attracting an additional $550, and premium shades costing an extra $1100.

The 2022 Skoda Kamiq range is available to order now, with the first cars to reach showrooms "in the coming weeks". Full specification and pricing breakdowns can be found below.
