2021 Peugeot 2008 price and specs: Mid-spec GT joins small SUV range
Peugeot's small SUV range expands with the addition of a new variant, priced from $38,990 before on-road costs.

The 2021 Peugeot 2008 range has been expanded with the addition of a new mid-spec GT variant.
Joining the base Allure and flagship GT Sport variants launched late last year, the 2008 GT slots into the middle of the range with the same engine as the entry-level Peugeot SUV, but offering some of the luxury features of its higher-spec range-mate – priced from $38,990 before on-road costs.
Additions over the entry-level Allure include adaptive full-LED headlights with auto high-beam, gloss black side mirrors, a Diamond Black roof, proximity locking/unlocking, a larger 10-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and satellite navigation, wireless smartphone charging, front and rear parking sensors, and a frameless auto-dimming rear-view mirror.
There's also 'Capy' fabric trim with 'leather effect' and lime green stitching, an upgraded autonomous emergency braking system with low-light cyclist and pedestrian detection, blind-spot monitoring, and black headlining.
Carry-over features from the Allure include a digital instrument cluster, 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, manually-adjustable front seats, push-button start, automatic climate control, digital radio, and manual cruise control.
However, features exclusive to the flagship GT Sport include 18-inch black wheels, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, ambient lighting, and its upgraded 114kW turbo engine.
Nappa leather-accented upholstery, heated front seats and an electric driver's seat with massaging – all features standard on the GT Sport – can be optioned on the GT for an additional $2690. A panoramic sunroof costs an extra $1990 on both grades.
Powering the 2008 GT is the same 1.2-litre turbo three-cylinder petrol engine as the entry-level Allure, sending 96kW and 230Nm to the front wheels through a six-speed automatic transmission.
