The video gives only a very limited look at the new model, but thanks to Autoblog reader Brendon and his Photoshop skills, we can see the Veloster’s face in much more detail.

The enhanced image reveals a design similar to the Veloster Concept that debuted way back in 2007.

The production version is more heavily influenced by the latest evolutions of the brand’s ‘fluidic sculpture’ design language, with more flowing lines evident in the grille and headlights.

The 13-second clip explains that the Veloster will have a direct-injection engine (understood to be a 1.6-litre four-cylinder unit), a dual-clutch transmission, Bluetooth connectivity and an estimated fuel consumption of 5.88 litres/100km.

The two-seat Veloster has been confirmed to arrive in Australia in the fourth-quarter of 2011. Whether it keeps the ‘Veloster’ nameplate or conforms to adopt an ‘ixx’ name is still unclear.
