The 2022 McLaren Artura is set to arrive in Australia showrooms later this year, with an entry price of $449,500.

  • New supercar pairs 3.0-litre V6 with electric assistance
  • 500kW and 720Nm outputs enable three-second 0-100km/h dash
  • Prices start from $449,500 before on-road costs, ahead of late 2021 deliveries

Australian pricing and specifications for the 2022 McLaren Artura have been revealed, ahead of the first customer deliveries in the fourth quarter of 2021 (October to December inclusive).

The hybrid supercar – underpinned by the brand’s all-new MCLA carbon-fibre architecture – will start from $449,500 before on-road costs, slotting into the line-up in between the McLaren GT grand tourer and McLaren 720S.

Drive comes from a 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged V6 engine paired with an electric motor, sending a combined 500kW/720Nm to the rear wheels via an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

That’s enough to launch the low-slung two-seater from 0-100km/h in a claimed 3.0 seconds, on the way to a top speed of 330km/h.

The 0-200km/h sprint reportedly takes 8.3 seconds, while 0-300km/h is covered 21.5 seconds.

A 7.4kWh lithium-ion battery pack allows for a claimed zero-emission driving range of 30 kilometres at speeds of up to 130km/h. This power pack takes 2.5 hours to charge from zero to 80 per cent from a domestic wall socket.

Inside the Alcantara-clad cabin, the Artura features a centre-mounted 8.0-inch touchscreen compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Drivers can select from four drive mode configurations through this interface: Electric, Comfort, Sport and Track.

Sticky Pirelli P Zero Corsa tyres wrap around 19-inch front and 20-inch rear alloy wheels. These hide carbon-ceramic brake discs clamped by six-piston callipers as standard, allowing the Artura to decelerate from 100km/h to zero in a claimed 31 metres.

The Artura is offered with a five-year vehicle warranty, six-year battery warranty, and 10-year body warranty.

The 2022 McLaren Artura is now available to order in Australia.
