Video: Tata Nano advertisement launched to regain sales

The Tata Nano hasn't been selling very well this year. As CarAdvice reported a few weeks ago, the company has had to offer extremely generous incentives to attract new buyers. Now the company has put the car up on the big screen for its first advertisement.

The ad isn't about promising astonishing fuel economy figurers or about proving something that's it's not; it's more about getting in touch with the market in India and about circulating awareness that this car - 'the cheapest car in the world' - exists.

Nisha Singhania, executive vice-president of Rediffusion Dentsu Young and Rubicam, the advertising agency behind the ad, also summed up what the ad is about at the campaign launch, saying,

"The objective of the campaign is to urge people to go out there and experience the car and decide for themselves."

Check it out below, it's somewhat touching.
