Around the Tracks: A man destroys his Lamborghini demonstrating his cooking skills

What exactly was this man trying to prove? We know your car is tough, but maybe keep the tough-boy antics to the backyard... with a barbeque. We feel sorry for the car in this situation when this man tries to show off in front of his friends by using the exhaust of his Lamborghini Aventador to cook a sausage.

When the inevitable happens, everyone witnesses the beautiful machine overheat, and spill coolant onto the ground. Don't try this at home.

The transaxle from his James Dean's 550 Spyder sold for a whopping $382,000. The auction went through Bring a Trailer a couple of weeks ago, and saw a steel display stand with axles, axle tubes, drum brake assemblies, and a starter all find new homes.

Dean was driving the famed Porsche – dubbed the 'Little Bastard' – in the hills above Los Angeles on 30 September 1955, when he was killed after being T-boned by a Ford Tudor while heading to a race meeting. The Porsche was sold a while back, however, the transaxle was somehow separated from the vehicle before the sale.

Instead of building your own shelf and desk, you could soon be assembling your own car! French car maker Renault announced this week that it's working on a project with Swedish flat-pack furniture giant, Ikea.

Codenamed Höga, meaning ‘high’ in Swedish, the vehicle would be intended for city use, and measure 2.3 metres long and 1.8 metres high. It'll come at a cost though, as Ikea and Renault aim to market it for approximately AU$8300.

Like all other items at Ikea, it would arrive as in flat-pack form, then when fully assembled the model would encompass large windows, four-wheel steering, and a ‘skateboard’-style base, plus enough space to fit a wheelchair, pram, or bicycle next to the driver. Nifty.
