2021 Jeep Cherokee, Grand Cherokee and Wrangler Unlimited 80th Anniversary Special Edition prices and specs

Jeep is celebrating its 80th anniversary with a run of special edition Wrangler Unlimited, Grand Cherokee and Cherokee model variants.

Stock will be available in Jeep dealerships from May 2021, and will be limited to 160 Wrangler Unlimited and Grand Cherokee models each, along with 80 Cherokees. 

Pricing for the 80th Anniversary models start from $51,941 before on-road costs for the Cherokee, and goes up to $71,941 for the Wrangler Unlimited.

All models get a leather interior with 80th Anniversary badging, as well as darkened wheels and exterior details. You'll also find additional unique badging on the outside.

Jeep's history dates all the way back to the Second World War, with the Willys Jeep first entering production in 1941 for the US Army.

While initially not available to the public, the original designed spawned a range of four-wheel drives marketed towards recreational users. These were called 'CJ' (Civilian Jeep), and form the basis of what we now know as the Wrangler.

Available in Bright White, Granite Crystal and Diamond Black, the Jeep Cherokee 80th Anniversary Special Edition is priced from $51,941 before on-road costs. While most specifications are similar, the Cherokee 80th Anniversary also comes with a dual-pane panoramic sunroof. This represents a $1991 increase in asking price, compared to the Cherokee Limited 3.2-litre on which it is based.

The Grand Cherokee 80th Anniversary is priced from $66,941 before on-road costs, and is based on a discontinued 3.6-litre Limited specification. Colours available in this instance are Bright White, Granite Crystal, Diamond Black and Slate Blue.

Finally, the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited 80th Anniversary Special Edition is based on a Wrangler Overland ($66,750). However, the special edition will cost an extra $5191 over standard, at $71,941. Available colours are Bright White, Granite Crystal, Diamond Black and Sarge Green.

Along with the special edition accoutrements, the the 80th Anniversary Wrangler also gets a 'Sky One-Touch Power Top' opening roof. 

The Jeep 80th Anniversary Special Edition range will reach showrooms later in May 2021.
