Full Australian pricing and specifications for the 2021 Skoda Superb range have been confirmed, with the updated sedan and wagon on sale now.

Four Superb variants are offered locally, across two engine choices and two body styles, covering 'standard' Style and sport-themed Sportline grades. The limited-edition 200TSI Scout variant is no longer available, as stocks of the model have sold out across Skoda showrooms nationwide.

Launched locally in 2020, the facelifted Superb brought a sharper design, new technology and more efficient engines to the brand's flagship passenger car.

Opening the MY21 range is the Superb 162TSI Style (below), priced from $52,990 drive-away in sedan guise, or $54,990 drive-away as a wagon.

Powering the 162TSI variants is a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine carried over from the MY19 range, sending 162kW and 350Nm to the front wheels through a six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

While prices are up by up to $9300 versus the last Superb 162TSI offered in Australia, a far broader array of features are now bundled in, with standard features including 19-inch 'Trinity' alloy wheels, matrix LED headlights, LED tail-lights with scrolling indicators, privacy glass, and a power-operated tailgate, plus silver roof rails and a spoiler on wagon models.

Inside, there's a 9.2-inch infotainment touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, Alcantara/leather combination upholstery, power-adjustable driver's seat with memory and electric lumbar support, heated front seats, ambient lighting, and an eight-speaker sound system.

There's also puddle light projection, a two-spoke leather steering wheel, two front USB ports, front and rear parking sensors, keyless entry, push-button start, an electric parking brake, tri-zone climate control, and rain-sensing wipers.

Standard safety features include autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, lane-keep assist, traffic-jam assist, long-range blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, tyre pressure monitoring, multi-collision braking, and nine airbags: dual front, front and rear side and curtain, and driver's knee.

162TSI buyers can opt for a $4500 Premium Pack, which adds adaptive dampers, selectable drive modes, full leather upholstery, power-adjustable front seats with lumbar, heating and ventilation, heated rear seats, automatic parking, digital radon, a three-spoke leather steering wheel (with paddles), three keys, Virtual Pedal, and a Canton sound system.

Sitting atop the range is the Superb 206TSI Sportline, priced from $62,990 drive-away in sedan guise, or $64,990 drive-away as a wagon.

Under the bonnet sits an uprated 2.0-litre turbo-petrol four-cylinder, routing 206kW and 350Nm to all four wheels through a six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

Additional or differing features over the base 162TSI Style include 19-inch 'Vega' alloy wheels, adaptive dampers, drive mode selection, a three-spoke steering wheel with paddles, Alcantara/leather sports seats with silver contrast stitching, black trim for the door mirrors, window surrounds, B-pillars, front grille, badging and rear diffuser, and SportLine badging.

It also gains power-adjustable front seats with heating, heated rear seats, power front lumbar support, 'SportLine' sill plates, aluminium pedals, a 12-speaker Canton sound system, Virtual Pedal, automatic parking, progressive steering, a customisable 'Performance Monitor', lap timer, rear spoiler, and unique exhaust tips.

Sportline-specific options comprise 19-inch black 'Supernova' alloy wheels for $300, as well as leather seats with front ventilation and massage functions for $1900.

Buyers across the range can opt for a sunroof – namely a standard $1700 unit on the sedan, or a larger panoramic offering for $1900 on the wagon – along with a towbar, for $2100.

Candy White is the only no-cost colour on the 162TSI, versus Steel Grey on the Sportline. Moon White, Race Blue (a Sportline exclusive), Quartz Grey, Brilliant Silver and Magic Black all attract a $770 premium, while Velvet Red costs an extra $1100.

Servicing packs can be had for three years/45,000km for $900, or for five years/75,000km for $1700.
