2015 Nissan Navara recalled with child restraint system fault
The child restraint tethers could potentially break during an accident, according to the manufacturer.
Nissan Australia has recalled 73 examples of its 2015 Navara, citing a potential fault with the dual-cab ute’s child restraint system (CRS).
The affected vehicles were sold by Nissan between 13 May 2015 and 1 November 2017.
The recall notice, lodged with the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC), says: “The child restraint system (CRS) top tethers may not be strong enough to keep a child seat securely fastened and may break during an accident.
“If the tethers break or the child seat is not securely fastened, the child may not be adequately restrained in their seat during an accident, which may result in serious injury or death to the child,” the notice continues.
