W Motors Lykan HyperSport stunt car from Fast & Furious 7 listed for sale

The Lebanese-designed supercar is the only surviving example from the iconic film.

A W Motors Lykan HyperSport stunt car – built specifically for the 2015 film Fast & Furious 7 – is set to go under the hammer in the USA, with price expectations in excess of US$750,000 (AU$1,000,000).

Just 10 examples of the Lebanese-designed supercar were made for the film, and all-but-one were reportedly destroyed during its production.

Meanwhile, seven Lykan HyperSports were subsequently built for the consumer market. According to the manufacturer, these were sold off for US$3.4 million (AU$4.4 million) a pop when new.

In production guise, the Lykan HyperSport derives power from a 3.7-litre twin-turbo flat-six petrol engine.

This sends 582kW/960Nm to the road via either a six-speed manual transmission or seven-speed dual-clutch automatic. That’s enough grunt to launch the 1380kg vehicle from 0-100km/h in a claimed 2.8 seconds.

However, according to the listing, the examples made for the film puts out just 178kW from a 2.7-litre six-cylinder powertrain.

The bright red W Motors Lykan HyperSport is scheduled for auction on 11 May 2021, via Rubix.
