Google Street View race from San Francisco to New York
The good old road trip doesn't have to cost an arm and a leg, or indeed any part of the body. You can do it free these days using Google Maps and Street View just like these guys did. They 'drove' in a race from one side of America to the other in the comfort of their own home.
Taking them from San Francisco to New York, Google Street View helped the two guys race across the 4760km distance in just 90 hours. In just under four full days the chaps were said to have clicked their mouse buttons over 100,000 times during the journey. But they did get to witness the entire countryside of America, just like a real road trip... sort of.
