2020-2021 LDV G10 van recalled
The Chinese van's rear brake pipe may leak fluid, according to the local distributor.
Local distributor Ateco Automotive has recalled 563 examples of the LDV G10 van, citing a potential fault with the rear brakes.
The affected vehicles were sold between 15 July 2020 and 25 February 2021 (Model Year 2020-2021).
The recall notice, lodged with the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC), says: “Due to a manufacturing defect, the rear brake pipe may leak brake fluid.”
“If the rear brake pipe leaks, this may result in a loss of braking performance or loss of braking ability, which can increase the risk of serious injury or death to vehicle occupants and other road users,” the notice continues.
CarAdvice has reached out to a spokesperson for Ateco Automotive for comment on the recall. This story will be updated with the response.
