Cracker Barrel stores in the US to offer EV recharges

Cracker Barrel, a chain of convenience stores in the US, has announced 24 of its 'Old Country Stores' will offer electric vehicle recharging facilities in the near future. The stores, established in 1969, used to sell petrol but now only operate as a small convenience shop attached to a restaurant.

The company says it plans to offer the facilities in 24 Tennessee stores, including Lebanon, Manchester, Cookeville, Murfreesboro, and in Nashville at Stewart's Ferry Pike. Cracker Barrel's CEO hopes the services will boost the company's image, adding to the "brand reputation of hospitality, service and value".

This is a good move and a great supporting step to the EV industry. Not only will it boost awareness of such technology, it'll also boost the electric vehicle's publicity in general. Next, you'll be able to recharge at Maccas.
