2023 Alpha Wolf electric ute revealed

The 2023 Alpha Wolf electric ute – built by California-based start-up AMC – has been unveiled, with the first customer deliveries expected to begin in 2023.


The retro two-seater single-cab pick-up is available with a choice of a single-motor or dual-motor layout.

Power outputs are being kept under wraps for now, however Alpha claims the flagship variant will accelerate from 0-100km/h in 6.2 seconds, about as quick as a Volkswagen Golf GTI.

The size of the battery pack is also yet to be confirmed however a maximum driving range of 440km is claimed, as is a maximum towing capacity of 1360kg.

The ute – which competes in an increasingly competitive segment, currently dominated by the Tesla Cybertruck, GMC Hummer EV, and Rivian R1T –  is currently available to order in the USA, priced from $36,000 (AU$46,000) plus on-road costs.

Alpha says the first customer deliveries will begin in 2023.

Drive has reached out to the manufacturer to find out if there are plans to offer the vehicle in Australia.

The Alpha brand has previously launched a coupe known as the Ace, and a high-riding sedan known as the Jax.
