  • Flagship 4WD gains a new grille, bumper skirts, and 21-inch two-tone alloys
  • Unchanged 5.7-litre V8 puts out 270kW/530Nm
  • Priced from $168,767 plus on-road costs

The 2021 Lexus LX570 S has been updated with subtle styling changes to keep it fresh as it nears the end of its model life.

The twin under the skin to the Toyota LandCruiser 200 Series is likely to be replaced in the coming year or two – after the donor LandCruiser 300 Series vehicle goes on sale.

The updated 2021 Lexus LX570 S – available with V8 power only – is priced from $168,767 plus on-road costs.

Externally, the flagship luxury 4WD picks up a widened spindle grille, revised front bumper skirts, and new two-tone 21-inch alloys.

Meanwhile, the existing 'S' badging, chassis performance dampers, alloy pedals, and 'LX S' door projectors are retained.

Inside the eight-seat cabin, semi-aniline perforated leather trim remains available in black or burgundy. Grey trim highlights are also available.

Power comes from a 5.7-litre V8 engine, sending 270kW/530Nm to all four wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission. This allows the 0-100km/h sprint to be completed in a claimed 7.7 seconds.

Six driving modes are available: Comfort, Eco, Normal, Sport S, Sport S+, and Custom. When driving in Eco, a combined fuel consumption of 14.4 litres per 100km is claimed.

  • LX570 with Enhancement Pack – $165,436
