The 2021 Ford Transit Bus has been unveiled for the Australian market, offering buyers a 12-seater option based on the popular Transit commercial van.
The Ford Transit Bus comes with a 10-speed automatic transmission as standard, sending 125kW/390Nm from the 2.0-litre turbo diesel four-cylinder engine to the rear wheels.
Available with either a standard or high-roof body option, passengers can access the rear seats through the powered sliding door, which can be operated from the key fob or via a button on the dashboard.
As with the rest of the Ford Transit range, the Bus comes with autonomous emergency braking (AEB) with pedestrian detection as standard.
The Bus also comes with adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keep assist, lane departure alert, traffic sign recognition, automatic headlights and high-beams, automatic windscreen wipers, front and rear parking sensors, and a rear-view camera.
Owners can also program their 'MyKey', allowing a speed limit to be set for drivers using that key.
Front-row occupants enjoy the use of an 8.0-inch infotainment system with Ford's latest 'Sync 3' software, with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability, optional voice-activated satellite navigation, and FordPass Connect – allowing the owner to unlock features through their smartphone.
The 2021 Ford Transit Bus comes with a five-year/unlimited-kilometre warranty, four-year/120,000km fixed-price servicing, and one-year/30,000km servicing intervals.
