448 Conrod Straight, Mount Panorama could be yours

It's an address envied by car enthusiasts in Australia and around the world.

'Lochinvar' at 448 Conrod Straight, Mount Panorama has come back up for sale – after initially being pulled from the market.

A historic listing shows real estate agency Ray White Emms Mooney Bathurst originally marketed the 36-hectare property in 2019 with a price guide of "over $5,750,000". It was the first time in 33 years that the property had been offered for sale.

It's now back on the market with Professionals Bathurst. The listing does not feature a price guide at this stage.

Lochinvar was previously operated as bed and breakfast-style accommodation. The property consists of one main dwelling with four bedrooms, and a "substantial, light-filled, north-facing lounge room" with "breathtaking northerly views over Bathurst".

The plot also includes three other two-bedroom self contained cottages, and a 20 by 12-metre shed. As a bonus, all three holiday lets will be sold fully-furnished.

Unlike other properties located around Australia's most-famous racetrack, the estate can be entered via a neighboring street – meaning race events do not interfere with access.

Listing agent and Director of Professionals Bathurst Ben Stevens told Drive that "No other property on the mountain allows independent access during events."

Property around the mountain does not come cheap, however. Previous listings show 489 Conrod Straight – a 6.8-acre property offered for the first time in 88 years – sold in September 2020 for $1,600,000.

The 4.3-hectare 'Sherwood' residence, located at 98 Mountain Straight, Mount Panorama, fetched $1,970,000 in March 2019.
